Opened in 2013, we are Airdrie’s premier French Immersion Preschool. We offer programs for 3 and 4 year olds and are conveniently located in north Airdrie, AB near Superstore. We believe young children learn best when learning through play, at their own pace and in their own way.

Ouvert en 2013, nous sommes la principale pré maternelle immersion d’Airdrie. Nous offrons des classes pour les enfants de 3 & 4 ans et nous sommes idéalement situé dans le nord-est d’Airdrie près de Superstore. Nous croyons que les enfants apprendre mieux quand ils apprennent en jouant, à leur rythme, à leur façon.

Our qualified staff strive to bring a fun, safe and engaging program that will help your child acquire a love of learning and foundation of French language skills. Children will learn through stories, songs, games, crafts and other activities. We offer a balance of structured and unstructured activities that will meet your child’s social, emotional and intellectual needs.

Nos enseignantes qualifiés créent toujours une environnement amusante and engageante pour aider les enfants à acquérir un joie d’apprendre et un fondation de base de la langue française. Les enfants vont apprendre en écoutant les histoires simples, chantant des chansons, jouant des jeux et créer des bricolages. Nous offrons une balance des activités structurées et non structurées pour répondre aux besoins sociaux, émotionnels et intellectuels de chaque enfant.

Meet Our Teachers!

Mme Astrom started teaching in 2001 after graduating from the University of Alberta with her B Ed. She taught grades K, 1, 3, 4 & 5 with many years teaching Kindergarten and grade 1 French Immersion at École Edwards. In 2013, she opened École Des Petits Amis Preschool. She loves all the happy, fun moments of teaching preschoolers!

Mme Jackie Astrom

Owner/ Head Teacher

Mme Astrom a commencé à enseigner en 2001 après avoir compléter une programme d’éducation à l’Université d’Alberta. Elle a enseigné la maternelle, 1ère année, 3ème année, 4ème année et 5ème année et la plupart de ces années en maternelle et première année immersion à l’École Edwards. En 2013, elle a ouvert École Des Petits Amis Preschool. Elle adore tous les moments drôles et spéciaux avec les petits.

Mme Reason started her preschool teaching journey with Ecole Des Petits Amis Preschool in 2013 shortly after we opened and has been an invaluable team member ever since. Mme Reason completed her Child Development Assistant (level one) certification and jumped right in to playing and learning with our amazing preschoolers.

Mme Val Reason

Teacher

Mme Reason a commencé son trajet d’enseignement avec École Des Petits Amis Preschool en 2013 bientôt après notre début. Elle est un membre de l’équipe inestimable. Mme Reason a complété son Child Development Assistant (niveau un) certification et se mettait tout de suite à jouer et apprendre avec nos petits.

5 stars is not enough to describe the level of french education, care, energy, patience and joy these amazing teachers bring into the lives of our little ones. We attend both preschool for our daughter and Saturday preschool with our son who is 2. Jackie, Val and Anne are exceptional teachers and people. The lessons are both educational and fun, always different ideas and crafts. Above and beyond the educational component, they quietly teach kindness and give back to the community. I’ve seen with my own eyes their hearts are all in this. We are so appreciative of all they do, and all our little guys are effortlessly picking up within the french language and life skills to prepare for the next journey ahead. So lucky we get to share another 3 years with them. Obviously highly recommend this amazing preschool!

Such an amazing school and environment. The teachers are incredible! they use creative approaches to teaching and know how to meet the kids where they are at socially. I can't say enough good about this school and, the best part is, my daughter loves it here.
